Term 4 goal reflection
These are the 3 goals I set at the beginning of the year:
- Get better at Algebra
- Get my distinction badge
- To be a better role model
This year I don't have to do Algebra because last year I got up to the part I was meant to for my standard. I have been a good role model by showing up to responsibilities. So far this year I have only done one or two blog posts towards my badges.
My next steps are:
- To be a better role modle by wearing my hat when I am outside.
- I also need to do more blog posts to get my badges.

Koru Games Reflection
Over the last 3 days we have been competing in a year 7/8 sports tournament with lots of other schools. I played Netball.
*I really enjoyed playing Netball because we all worked together as a team and had tonnes of fun.
*Thinking back to the beginning of the year, I have really improved on everything but especially sticking with my partner.
*Something I will remember is watching the finals and going to the wrong court.

writing prove it- sentence structure
My goal was sentence structure. I wrote a speech about lying. My point was that lying is ok. I learnt where to put conjunctions.
PARAGRAPH 1
The truth is dangerous. It's deadly. How would you like it if someone told you that you smelt bad? Or that your favourite outfit makes you look fat? The truth hurts, doesn't it. Although people may seem fine, they often hide how upset they really are. This can lead to self harm or worse while, friendships are often affected by the truth.
My next step is to get a new writing goal.

Term 3 goal reflection

So far this year we haven't done any Algebra but I have improved on number and Geometry. I have been a better role model by showing up on time for my responsibilities and being in the right place at the right time. Lately, I haven't made any blog posts on my leadership roles but I am going to try to do it this year.
My next step is to blog so I can try and get my merit badge and improve on my Algebra.

Writing prove it- punctuation
On her walk she came across her friend Mr Potatoman. He was wearing: a small black top hat, a white shirt with a black tie, black trousers and black shoes. The fairy princess asked Mr Potatoman if he would like to walk with her. Mr Potatoman said yes. The fairy Princess was thrilled. She felt safe so she asked her guardsto leave. But, what the fairy princess didn't know was that Mr Potato man was evil.
I am at relational because I can use punctuation correctly and I am strategic about it. My next step is to become extended Abstract

Reading prove it
WALT- I can describe the publishing conventions to comprehend main ideas/ details in a factual text.
I am at Extended Absract because I know know why subheadings, capitalisation of proper nouns,purpose of a glossary and quotations marks are used and I can teach someone else.
GLOSSARY
( BIODIVERSITY)- There is a glossary in this text so that you know what the technical words mean.
SUBHEADING
(A gentleman's sport)- There are subheadings so you don't have to read the whole text when your trying to find things.
PROPER NOUNS
( LUKE TRAFFORD)- They have capitals because because they are names and it shows importance.
QUOTATION MARKS
( "WE NEED TO CONTROL DEER.")- It is direct speech because it hasn't been changed they need to put speech marks around it.
OVERALL STATEMENT
Overall these are used to show importance too find things easier, too help understand things better and to know what it has said.

My discovery- diy art
I am at relational because I know how to make diy art and i can do it myself. My next step is to become Extended Abstract and be able to teach someone else. I learnt that you have to be careful when your'e taking of the shape so that the paint doesn't go everywhere.

reading- prove it
we had to identify the style of writing, the authors purpose and the word choice then put an overall statement. The piece of writing this text was descriptive which goes in the first box. It was to inform which goes in the second box. It also used technical words which goes in the 3 rd box. Everything was the same throuout the text. My overall statement was .... Overall this text is descriptive because it says specific things like tempretures, it uses technical words because it mKes it sound more detailed.
My career explanation writing
The group I am working in is the Punctuation group.
My career goal is to become a nurse. I want to become a nurse, because I want to help sick and injured people. I enjoy meeting new people. Nurses have to deal with lots of different circumstances. They never know what to expect. Most graduates, normally get a job within 12 months. There's a shortage of experienced nurses in some areas such as aged care, primary care and mental health.

My goals update
One of my goals was to get better at algebra. So far this year I haven't done any but I'm keen to get better at it later on in the year.

Winter- poem
WINTER
Snow softly fell to the icy cold ground.
The city was covered in a great big white blanket.
It was so cold, I thought I was going to freeze to death.
The snow man waves at everyone who passes by.

My reflection of my 2015 goals so far

Wonder story- Vocabulary
My goal at the moment is Vocabulary and we are working on adding in adjectives.
Later via and I went to the park with huge swings and a long, fun flying fox. I was on the swings when I noticed a group of older boys sitting on top of the monkey bars, who keep starring at me then laughing. I could hear a loud voice in the background saying what is wrong with your face you look like a pig. I looked at them. They laughed even harder, one boy even feel off the top of the monkeybars. I couldn't stand it any longer, I ran of. Without even telling Via. I could hear Via shouting at me but I just keep running. I looked back, Via was shouting at them. Then she started walking towards me. I ran of hoping she wouldn't see me looking back.
